The main artery connecting most of Kaufman County to Dallas. Forney, Terrell, and Crandall all funnel onto I-20 for the westbound commute. The highway widens near Mesquite but the I-635 interchange remains a persistent choke point. TxDOT has ongoing widening projects along this corridor.
